About Human Analytics

Human Analytics LLC is a Washington, D.C. based, women-owned small business committed to fostering the balance between human values and organizational objectives. We specialize in assisting organizations operating in complex environments with identifying, preventing, and mitigating risk through the development and implementation of risk management policies and systems. As reinforced by various regulatory, contractual requirements, and voluntary standards, organizations increasingly are expected to engage in a thorough human rights due diligence process as part of an overall risk management strategy. In addition to human rights risk and impact assessment, our services include gap analysis against recognized standards, policy and management system design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of operational systems, facilitation of community engagement, development of complaints mechanisms, and development and delivery of training, using a “train the trainer” approach. Ultimately, we see our job as helping your organization put in place the necessary policies, processes, and systems so that you won’t need us anymore.

Our principals are recognized subject matter experts in the human rights and security operating space and are routinely called upon to advise organizations on human rights risk management methodologies for both headquarter and field program locations. Human Analytics staff has been involved in the development of key security standards, including the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC), ANSI/ASIS PSC.1-2012: Management System for Quality of Private Security Company Operations – Requirements with Guidance (PSC.1), and ISO 18788 Management System for Private Security Operations – Requirements with Guidance.

Why Standards?

Our approach can assist your company with implementation and preparation for successful independent certification to security and human rights standards, such as PSC.1. Mature security providers recognize the benefits that certification brings to themselves and their clients. The establishment of a risk management system allows for a holistic approach to managing potential and actual threats and disruptions to operations, which ultimately enables the efficient delivery of quality services with less cost and risk. Implementation of a management system embeds a process of continual improvement into your organization. Certified security providers take seriously their responsibility to respect human rights throughout their operations, and can evidence this commitment to their clients. By selecting an independently certified security company, clients have at their disposal the means to differentiate between providers and choose a mature, credible, and capable provider.
